- Boys and Girls Cross Country
- Football
- Boys and Girls Tennis
- Girls Volleyball
- Boys Soccer
**NEW THIS FALL: Boys’ soccer! Seventh and eighth grade boys are invited to register to play Pirate soccer as a newly sanctioned PSD middle school sport. We must have at least 14 boys registered by August 6 in order to have a team here at CLP. Sign up today -- see instructions below.
The entire registration process (A Better Way registration, payment, and physical), must be completed by the first day of official practice for all sports: 8/12 for football, 8/18 for boys’ soccer, tennis and volleyball, 8/24 for cross country.
- There is no pre-season window for football. In order to participate in official football practice on 8/12, athletes must have all three steps completed.
- On the first day of official practice, athletes who do not have the 3 step process complete will be asked to sit and watch practice until all requirements are met.
- Poudre School District transportation: Students will have transportation via PSD buses to away games/matches/meets. However, PSD does not provide transportation back to the school after away games. Families must make arrangements to get your athlete home from the host school after away games.
- PSD will post the Fall schedules for each sport on the PSD Middle School Athletics website as they become available.
- There will be a parent/guardian meeting at CLPMS for all registered athletes and families on Tuesday, 8/25 at 4:30 PM in the large gym.
We are CLP Middle School PIRATES!
Our GOAL: To play our best game, to win, and to improve.
Our PURPOSE: To Respect Ourselves, Others, and Our Environment – to be risk-takers, communicators, principled, reflective, knowledgeable, balanced and caring. At CLP MS we engage students in school, connect them to a team and a coach, and improve the character of our athletes.

FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION
--Other seasons will be added to the system at a later date; only Fall sports are accessible for registration at this time.
NEW for 2026-27 -- A Better Way -- online registration for all Poudre School District athletics.
1. Go to the A Better Way registration website for PSD
- a. Create an account, which allows you to enter the registration process.
- b. As you navigate through the registration process, you may exit at any time and return to complete; your progress will be saved.

2. New this year from PSD Athletics: parents/guardians are required to watch a few short videos. These videos take about 7 minutes to view (you can increase playback speed).
3. There is a link to School Pay within the registration system.
- a. PSD Athletics Fee for each sport is $150.
- b. You may pay online via School Pay; new for 2026-27 -- no online convenience fees!
- c. If you need to pay by cash or check, please do so in person at the PSD Support Services Center, 2407 LaPorte Ave., 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cash or checks will not be accepted at schools.

4. If you would like to include your spouse, a step-parent, guardian, grandparent, etc. in the registration for your child, do this using the “Add Relationship” tab. Please do this for anyone who needs to get sports information from the athletic coach or school, since some communications will come through the A Better Way.
5. PSD requires students to watch 4 short videos as part of registration. This takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Note: if you are registering more than one athlete, each student needs to view videos separately. If a student plays multiple sports, they will watch the videos only once each school year.
6. There is a place to upload your PSD physical form on A Better Way. Pages 3 and 4 can be scanned and uploaded, or you may bring the completed form to the school office. The physical will be reviewed and approved by the athletic department prior to clearing the athlete for participation in practice.
