Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee at CLP MS

This year’s Spelling Bee was a huge success! We had 12 finalists qualify to compete in the final Spelling Bee. The 12 finalists were Lenora Butler, Hattie Westmoreland, Lily Vertucci, Emily Bates, Maeve McCrory, Abby Locke, Kai Erdkamp, Amelia Mahalek, Colson Guerra, Royce Merrell, Daykin Fothergill, and Oliver Fotsch.

All of these students worked extremely hard and did a phenomenal job in the competition. Our competition lasted longer than ever this year, going over 40 rounds!

Lenora Butler and Royce Merrell did a great job going head-to-head for 17 rounds to determine Royce as our final champion! We wish her lots of luck representing CLP at the next round of the district spelling bee.

Thank you so much to all the families and students who supported the Spelling Bee this year. We look forward to next year’s competition!
